Fire Prayer

Light from the sun,
is the source of life on Earth,
upon which all animals rely.
Light from the Lord,
is the source of life in the universe,
upon which all spiritual beings rely.

With this light,
I open my heart-mind
and my spirit-mind
to the wonders of life
and the teaching of the Lord.

Light from the sun,
I embrace thee
and rejoice in thee as my body is but an animal.
Light on the Path,
that dispels darkness of ignorance,
I receive Thee in my soul,
This body-mind of mine,
I subject to the true Reality.

 

Fire Prayer is used when we light candles or burn offerings.
