Arjuna should know these types, himself having passed through various of the stages.  He once sought wealth in the proper manner and was blessed with it, he is respected as a man of great knowledge which he attained by living as a friend of the Lord, now Arjuna is in distress and seeks the Lord’s council, and the Lord tells him that by acquiring Wisdom he will be saved from his dilemma.
